Combain Mobile AB, a leading provider of geolocation service, is excited to announce a partnership with TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) (NASDAQ:TSYS), a world leader in highly reliable and secure wireless communication technology.
Combain will provide cell-id and Wi-Fi® geolocation services for TCS’ commercial Location Based Services (LBS) and public safety indoor location solutions. The companies will also work together to accelerate the development of new cloud-based services to meet the requirements for the Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet-of-Things (IoT) markets.

The arrangement will allow TCS to provide enhanced indoor geodetic (latitude/longitude) location fixes based on Combain’s Wi-Fi geolocation services for 9-1-1 callers across the United States. In situations where a dispatchable location cannot be derived, this approach will allow wireless operators to meet horizontal location requirements for indoor 9-1-1 calls.
